In addition to its outstanding concerts and educational outreach programs, BFAS also presents an art exhibition from a regional visual artist at each home concert.

Works are showcased at the concert and at the reception following each concert. Concert attendees are able to meet the artists at the reception. The exhibition remains in place for several weeks and works are available for purchase.

Our Visual Arts Coordinator serves on the BFAS Board of Trustees and facilitates the exhibit schedule.

Each year at the BFAS Patron Appreciation Party, a Juried Art Show is conducted and represents works from artists who presented during that season.

A panel of 3 judges selects one work which will be featured on the upcoming season’s program booklet and other marketing materials including the website.

Since 1972, over 250 artists have presented works at BFAS concerts.

Elsie Parman was a talented artist who was a member of the BFAS Board of Trustees. Under her guidance, Beaches Fine Arts Series expanded our reach to local visual artists, establishing a tradition of featuring a visual artist at each of our concerts. In order to further publicize our artist community, Elsie encouraged BFAS to feature the work of a visual artist on each of our season programs, beginning in 2000-2001 and continuing to this day. A faithful financial supporter of the series, Elsie was a great ambassador for Beaches Fine Arts Series.
