The Artist

Paul E Riley was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Paul was influenced to paint by his mother, Maureen Riley, a watercolor artist who passed away in the late 70’s. Most of Paul’s brothers and sisters are artists or involved in the arts in one way or another. After working in the business world for 30 years, Paul switched to his lifelong passion: art (specifically folk art). Because of his love for all things outdoor and country, he started focusing his subject matter on sporting fish paintings which are designed to look like fish mounts. The use of various texturing is prevalent in his work. Paul also enjoys painting American and state flags.
