Born in El Bario, Spanish Harlem, New York City, Pablo lived most of his young life in Queens, New York. His interest and ability to draw surfaced early on with interests in comic books. A graduate of the prestigious Cooper Union, he went into a career in graphic design. His ability as a photographer developed at School Of Visual Arts and The Educational Alliance-both as fine and commercial art. It was at this point that Rivera moved from graphic design to photography, working for then Four By Five, later called SuperStock, this lasted about 40 years until his retirement in 2001. All this while Pablo’s physical world was filled with ultra running and eventually triathlons, where he competed in 5 Ironmanlive triathlons. His fine art photography has been shown in venues on both coasts, with his sculpture shown locally at The Cummer museum and Museum Of Contemporary Art as well as local galleries. Pablo currently is in an exhibit at The Ritz museum that has been sent to South Africa this fall. He is teaching painting and sculpture at The Art League and Reddi Arts.
