Beaches Fine Arts is thrilled to bring the Vienna Piano Trio back to the series. This famed trio first appeared on the series in 2001 to inaugurate the Conley Steinway Piano. Funds for the piano were donated by Ruth Conley in memory of her husband, Paul Conley. For the upcoming concert, on Friday, November 10, the trio will perform works by Schubert, Ravel, and Herzogenberg. Join us to hear this phenomenal ensemble! Reception follows with art exhibit by William McMahan. Doors open at 6:45 pm for this 7:30 pm concert. As always, FREE and Fabulous!
Join us as we celebrate 45 years of great music, all offered free of charge to our community! On Sunday, October 22, we host the marvelous voices of Fisk Jubilee Singers, renowned throughout the world for their performances and preservation of the uniquely American musical genre, the Negro Spiritual.
A reception follows the performance, featuring fabulous artwork by Marsha Hatcher. See you there!
Beaches Fine Arts Series mourns the passing of our Founder, Jim Johnson, on August 11, 2017. Jim’s vision for a free performing arts series featuring the highest quality performers led to the establishment of Beaches Fine Arts Series in 1972. As the choirmaster and organist at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea, he worked with the then current rector, Father Neil Gray, to create the series as an outreach for the church. In 1990, Beaches Fine Arts Series incorporated as a nonprofit, 501c-3 entity, with Jim as its first Executive Director. Jim was at the helm of BFAS for 25 years prior to his retirement. Jim’s family requests that donations be made to the Beaches Fine Arts Founder’s Fund in his memory. His legacy is a lasting gift to the North Florida community.
